As part of its commitment to investment in electro-acoustic testing and research, Apple Dynamics has taken delivery of a Telephone Test Head, manufactured by G.R.A.S. Sound and Vibration, Denmark. The test head is a “tailor-made fixture for testing the acoustic performance of telephone handsets” and will be used both to test the electro-acoustic performance of head-mounted devices and, in conjunction with a system simulator, to make pre-FTA tests on mobile devices, in accordance with international standards and recommendations (such as 3GPP TS 26.132).
